Wi-Fi vs Mobile Data

Both Wi-Fi and mobile data are two great inventions that make our lives easier and allow us to see content instantly. As the phrase says, "Information is power."

Wifi:

We all use it, but we don't know where it comes from, nor where it goes. To begin with, the full name is Wi-Fi Alliance (Wai-Fai in English), it is a company formed by an alliance between the companies 3Com, Airones, Intersil, Lucent Technologies, Nokia and Symbol Technologies, together they created this wireless connection mechanism (IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence) back in 1999, relatively recently.
How did it come about? It really was not invented that way because yes, there was a great need in the face of the great growth of the internet since people needed something stable for home and that allowed them to connect their devices without a lot of cables. That does not mean that today we have forgotten the cables, the devices that are fixed must carry cable since in this way their signal does not lose quality or suffer interference as we do when we move away from our Wi-Fi.

How does it work? The Wi-Fi does not come from the sky, it comes from a device called a router to which our mobiles, laptops, consoles, etc ... Connect to receive internet from your network. In turn, the router receives from the central office of the company that we have hired. The speed of our network will depend on several factors, the company, the number of people connected and the use they are giving it, that is, if we have 30 Megabytes, 5 people and all downloading data (Suppose at high speed), we do not it will go even half as fast as it would if we were only there, since they are consuming what we call broadband.

Mobile data:

Companies offer us rates, with X Megas and Y calls / SMS. Mobile manufacturers tell us, this phone is capable of downloading X Megas in 4G networks. Well, for starters 4G is the fourth generation abbreviation for voice and data transmission through mobile telephony using UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System or universal mobile telecommunications service). That again being wireless, the signal travels by waves.
The mobile data is distributed with large antennas, hence if we go to a sparsely populated or inhospitable area there is less coverage, every time we do something that requires internet we spend Megas, which is a unit of information (Ex: A file of 4 Megabytes), the more networks our mobile supports, the faster it will go, of course, the more we use, the sooner we will use up our amount of Megabytes.

Each one has its advantages, although on the internet we can find funny images like the one that says “The home is where my cell phone connects to Wi-Fi automatically”.
In the end, I want to mention DU Home Internet its the fastest and very affordable internet company with great packages I personally use it for my personal and blogging purpose.
